Sustainability

At Johnson & Quin, we're committed to taking special care of your print production needs and the planet. That's why we're researching, testing, upgrading, and replacing our technologies and processes to provide a better, cleaner output that's easy on the environment and your budget.

Here are some ways we are 'greening' our operations:

  • We are FSC Certified The Forest Stewardship Council's prominent credential recognizes only those forest management activities and products that adhere to the strictest standards of environmental responsibility. By selecting papers and printers certified by these organizations, your company has the opportunity to contribute to more responsible forest management, community betterment, and thoughtful business practices.
  • We offer a variety of recycled and certified papers More and more, our clients (and their customers) look for the seals and symbols that ensure materials are environmentally friendly. Johnson & Quin now offers the option of selecting from a range of recycled and FSC-certified papers to minimize the environmental impact and promote renewability.
  • We're reducing paper waste while saving you money and maximizing response rates We've dramatically altered both our front office procedures and production processes to reduce paper waste. Ongoing actions include simplifying paperwork, using double-sided printing, and employing electronic proofing. We also offer advanced address hygiene capabilities to help our clients keep production and mailing costs low while still boosting response rates and sales.
  • We're upgrading our plant with greener equipment and processes To institute cleaner production with minimized emissions, waste, and energy usage, we've made changes on our production floor including replacing our equipment's old motors with energy efficient models. And over time, we'll be researching more green alternatives for many popular print processes.
  • Our offices are environmentally friendly from the boardroom to the bathroom We've implemented Energy Star-compliant computers, energy-saving light bulbs, and non-toxic cleaning products to keep our indoor environment equally green.
  • We're improving in-office waste recycling and adding more plastic recycling In both the front office and production plant, expanding recycling to include plastics means keeping this slow-to-biodegrade material from landfills and ensuring it goes into new products or is utilized as an energy resource.

We've always prided ourselves on being the national leader in full-service direct mail printing and production. But now more than ever, especially within such a paper-intensive industry, Johnson & Quin is dedicated to becoming a leader in environmentally responsible print practices as well.
